BACKGROUND:

Truxton was founded by me, ALEXANDER KENT. I have worked in the creative field since 2007, and moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to work as an assistant at Blackbird Sound. I created projects for JACKASS, Peter Berg and Mercury Insurance; I played drums on a song for Roger Alan Wade that was a score in the film JACKASS 3D. I then moved to a role as associate producer working with Lucas Arts and Hydrogen Whiskey on a Star Wars release in 2012.

Although music, sound design and mixing will always be in my wheelhouse, in 2012, after working freelance for the famous photographer Sam Jones, I fell in love with the camera. To grow my skills I took a job working for the global branding agency Siegel and Gale as a producer and photographer, where I worked with brands like NBA, Oregon, SAG-AFTRA, Shatterproof and NOV.

After leaving Los Angeles, I moved back to my hometown of Richmond, VA, where I began working for the world renown Martin Agency as a photographer, editor, director and content creator. While at Martin Agency, I shot for brands like GEICO, Subway, Tic Tac, Door Dash, Sabra and Ritz.

In 2021, during the pandemic, I decided to venture out on my own and create the TRUXTON brand. Since then, I’ve worked with my team creating websites, advertising campaigns, logos and music videos across an array of industries.

CAPABILITY:

Truxton is a full service studio that shoots with Canon, Arri and Panasonic cameras. We utilize KINO, ARRI and Interfit lighting. Camera operations include: Steadicam, jib and drone capability. We offer Epson archival plotter printing services on site, with both roll and sheet. Our facilities include a full kitchen, full bathroom (w/ shower) and green room. Our mixing and recording area is 5.1 balanced with sound control and JBL technology. We have new and vintage mics from Neumann, Sennheiser, Cascade and Shure.
